Dangerous cargoes include substances, materials, products, wastes of production and other activities which, because of their intrinsic properties and peculiarities and during presence of certain factors in the process of transportation, handling, and storage may cause damage to the environment, cause an explosion, fire or damage to transport facilities and buildings, as well as death, injury, poisoning, burns or disease in humans, animals, and birds.

Classification of dangerous cargo:

Conditions of dangerous cargo transportation are defined by regulations that regulate the activity of means of transport, carrying dangerous cargo.

Dangerous cargo should be offered for transportation in containers and packaging that are required by the standards or specifications for this product.

Packaging, containers, tanks and packing facilities, which according to the results of testing can be used for the transportation of dangerous cargo, must have certificates of conformity.

Liability of subjects of dangerous cargo transportation is subject to compulsory insurance.

Health and life of workers who participate in the transportation of dangerous cargo is subject to compulsory insurance against industrial accidents and occupational diseases.
